La lanterne des morts

Only 2 lanterns of the dead are present in Loire-Atlantique: Fercé and Moutiers-en-Retz.

The monument to the dead of Fercé is a lantern erected in 1921, in memory of the children who died for France.

The lanterns of the dead are in the form of a more or less worked column or a small openwork turret with windows at the top, often topped with a conical cap surmounted by a cross.
